BUS / TRANSIT

The larger municipalities in Niagara all run their own public transit service. Check here for information on schedules and routes.  Accessible public transit is available but must be arranged in advance. See also Accessible Transportation. Includes information on coach buses that serve Niagara.

Increasing your use of public transit will help reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in our cities. Effective July 1, 2006, the Government of Canada is encouraging Canadians to use public transit with a tax credit on the cost of monthly or longer duration transit passes.

Fort Erie Transit
Schedules, routes and fares for Fort Erie Transit plus contact information for Fort Erie Mobile Service which provides transportation for those unable to use regular transit service.

Niagara Transit
Municipal bus service for Niagara Falls. Includes: Brock University Rapid from September to April, Bus Routes, Chair-a-Van Service for those unable to use conventional transit, the Falls Shuttle, Fare Structure, Niagara College route, Pass Outlets and People Mover service along the Niagara Parkway.

Niagara Specialized Transit
Niagara Specialized Transit (NST), Niagara Region’s inter-municipal specialized transit service, is considered a shared ride service. This service is only for those riders who are travelling from one municipality to another for a medical appointment. A rider may be accompanied by a companion, personal care attendant and/or service animal.

St. Catharines Transit
Information on municipal bus service for St. Catharines and Thorold. Also provides a local charter service and a Paratransit system for people with disabilities.

Welland Transit
Schedules for city buses, how to use Trans-Cab for areas not served by regular transit, and contact information for Handi-Trans for those not able to use regular Welland Transit Service.

Niagara Parks People Mover
The People Mover travels up and down the beautiful Niagara Parkway in a continuous loop. A one-time payment lets you get on and off the bus at any of 22 stops.

Greyhound bus schedules and locations
Greyhound offers coach bus travel between cities in Canada and the U.S. Stops in Niagara include Grimsby, Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland.

Coach Canada
Scheduled coach bus routes, airport service, sightseeing tours, and charter service.
